Elisapie

Going through the songs of her latest album ‘The Ballad of a Runaway Girl’, the film shows the realization Elisapie discovers towards her identity, all while showing her creative process. 

This was a very interesting project, not only for the heartfelt subject it brings, but also for the challenge of matching footage taken over many years, archives and  mismatched sources. All while keeping an emotional consistency throughout the documentary.

The objective when creating the overall look was to be subtle and natural as much as possible. To not over saturate or over contrast, to keep a raw and instinctive look. The idea behind this process was to put more emphasis on the story being told.
